Paul Cannon

Some people walk into a room and change the atmosphere. Paul Cannon was one of those people.

As UK Director of Sales, Paul brought far more than commercial acumen to askelie®. He brought himself: his warmth, his humour, his genuine interest in the people around him. He had time for everyone. Not the kind of time that people perform, but the real kind, the kind that makes you feel like you matter. Because to Paul, you did.

He was proud of what we were building here. His family told us how much he loved his role and how deeply he cared about the work, and anyone who spent time with him would have seen that plainly. Paul believed in what askelie® stood for, and that belief was infectious.

There are people who leave a mark on a company through the work they produce. Paul left a mark through who he was. The conversations he lit up. The colleagues he encouraged. The quiet steadiness he brought, even in the hard moments. Sales is often thought of as a numbers game; Paul understood it was a people one.

He passed away on June 2026, and the loss is felt deeply by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

To his family and friends, we are so sorry. He spoke of you with love, and it was clear how much you meant to him. We hope it brings some comfort to know how widely that love was returned. The tributes that have poured in since Paul passed tell a story that goes far beyond any one workplace. From people who worked alongside him, to those who simply crossed paths with him along the way, the message is the same. He mattered to people. He made an impression that lasted. That is not something that can be taught or managed. It is just who Paul was.
