I’m Babu and I am the VP of Software Development at askelie. I bring more than a decade of experience in designing, developing and managing software systems, with a career shaped by a passion for solving complex technical challenges and creating solutions that are reliable, scalable and deliver real business value. With a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering, I quickly found my path in software development and automation, combining technical depth with problem solving creativity.
At askelie I have contributed to some of our most important projects including Contract Sentinel, Workbench and Billing Manager. These projects have allowed me to apply my technical skills alongside business understanding, ensuring that the platforms we deliver are not only robust but also closely aligned to client needs. Whether it is developing new features, managing server infrastructure or improving deployment processes, I enjoy being at the centre of the systems that keep our products performing at their best.
My technical expertise covers a wide range of programming languages, tools and platforms. I work with Python, Java and VBA, and I have strong experience in test automation using Selenium. On the infrastructure side I specialise in cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, as well as database management with MySQL, MS SQL and MongoDB. I also have experience in server management, version control and cost optimisation, which are all critical for building secure and efficient systems at scale.
Before joining askelie I spent seven years at Cerrid Solutions, where I built a strong foundation in software engineering, automation and data modelling. I managed projects end to end, from requirement analysis and test planning through to deployment and optimisation. That experience shaped the way I work today, combining attention to detail with a clear focus on delivering results that make a difference.
What drives me most is the impact technology can have on people and businesses. I take pride in seeing the systems we build at askelie improve efficiency, reduce risks and open new opportunities for our clients. I also value the collaborative culture within the company, where working closely with colleagues across teams and geographies makes our solutions stronger and more effective.
